North West Queensland, singer-songwriter Billie Rose has created her own niche country sound, songs that reveal a sincerity and depth well beyond her young age. Billie Rose has an ever-growing list of awards and accolades, and new single "Wrong Kind of Right" is inspired by forbidden feelings you have for somebody.
Born and raised Charters Towers, 18 year old Billie Rose has spent the last 10 years performing at Country Music Festivals all over Queensland, busking on Peel St in Tamworth and attended the CMAA Academy of Country Music in 2017 where she was coached and mentored by some of Australia’s leading country music artists, musicians and songwriters.
Billie headed to Sydney and recorded 4 original tracks with award winning producer Matt Fell at Love Hz Studio. “My recording experience with Matt was incredible, he brought to life the sounds I had in my head and turned them into something truly magical.”
The EP’s lead single “Company with Regret" was written only a few days before the recording session and led to a new sound and great success for the young songstress - Billie Rose's debut single was premiered on Double J, reached number two on the Amrat regional charts and was added to rotation on ABC Country and ABC Local.
Billie has just released her second single “Wrong Kind of Right” which has been added to ABC Country rotation and ABC local, “Wrong kind of right” is receiving great airplay with the likes of KIx country network and regional stations.
Billie Rose's style lays somewhere between Americana and Country Pop, gaining inspiration from the likes of Kasey Musgraves, Maren Morris and Carrie Underwood. Having just finished high school and with the release of her first EP Company with Regret, Billie Rose is just getting started on her music career with second single "Wrong Kind of Right" showcasing her stunning soulful Americana sound.
